Moroccan artisans transform the aromatic thuya wood into exotic tables, trays, boxes and desk accessories, often inlaying them with ebony, lemonwood and mother-of-pearl. An intricate geometric design is inlaid into the table top and thin inlays highlight the smoothly rounded legs. The much-prized thuya tree grows in the flat, sandy countryside outside Essaouira, a beautiful port on the Atlantic coast. This table measures 19" by 17".
